Terms of offer

About these terms

TODO(operator): review this whole text before the site goes live (concept §3.10, T6). It is a draft, written only from the offer as the concept records it.

These are the terms of the WideCoder offer: what happens when you apply, what we build, what it costs, and what you can choose at the end.

Who offers this

WideCoder is offered by Xelinc. You can reach us at [email protected].

The path

The path has seven steps, in this order. None is skipped.

  1. Apply. You describe the product and why you need it now, in the application at widecoder.com.
  2. Scoping call. A call to see whether the product is a fit. We choose whom we build for.
  3. Scope document. Before any work, we agree in writing the tier, the features, a fixed delivery date, the ownership price and the monthly prices. Nothing is built before it is agreed.
  4. Build, 3–10 days. The product is delivered by the date in the scope document. One round of changes is included. Further changes happen after you own it.
  5. Demo and walkthrough. A handover call showing the working product and how to use it.
  6. 30-day free live preview. The product runs live for 30 days, free. It carries the "Built with WideCoder" badge. Data may be reset. After 30 days the preview is paused.
  7. Decide. You own it, or you walk away at zero.
TODO(operator): the scoping-call term points at the fit criteria in concept §2.1, which are not shown on the site. Should the terms state fit criteria, and in what words? Until then they say only "we choose".

The two ways out

At the end of the preview there are two ways out.

  • Own it. One payment: the tier price. You get the code, your own domain, the badge removed, a handover, and a 30-day bug-fix warranty.
  • Walk away. Zero. No payment, no obligation. The preview is taken down.

Tiers and prices

Tiers are set by things you can count. A product over any single limit moves up a tier. "Roles" means user roles.

  • Starter: web app. Up to 2 user roles, 8 screens, 5 data types, 1 integration. Own it: ₹15,000, one payment. Care: ₹2,000 a month.
  • Growth: web app with admin or CMS. Up to 3 user roles, 20 screens, 12 data types, 3 integrations. Own it: ₹30,000, one payment. Care: ₹3,000 a month.
  • Scale: web and mobile, or a heavy backend or agent. Up to 4 user roles, 35 screens, 20 data types, 5 integrations. Own it: ₹60,000, one payment. Care: ₹5,000 a month.

Above Scale, the price is a custom quote. Such a product falls outside the free offer.

Prices are in rupees. The prices are final.

TODO(operator): confirm the final-price wording (concept T5, D12).
TODO(operator): the offer does not define a "screen", a "data type" or an "integration". Should these terms define them? If so, the definitions come from you (concept T4).

After you own it

Two services are offered once you own the product.

  • Care: hosting on your domain, uptime, security updates, bug fixes, small changes. Price: ₹2,000 / ₹3,000 / ₹5,000 a month, by tier.
  • AI assistant: runs the app by chat: add products, change prices, block dates, answer questions. Price: from ₹3,000 a month.

Both are free for two months after payment, and only when the product is hosted with us.

The 30-day preview is separate and comes first. The two free months start after payment, not after the preview.

What these terms do not yet settle

TODO(operator): what happens if the fixed delivery date in the scope document is missed?
TODO(operator): when and how is the ownership payment made?
TODO(operator): what does the 30-day bug-fix warranty cover and exclude, and when does it start?
TODO(operator): how are Care and the AI assistant cancelled, and with how much notice?
TODO(operator): should the terms limit liability, and how?
TODO(operator): on payment, what passes to you beyond "the code" (for example, other intellectual property)?

Governing law and courts

These terms are governed by the law of India. The courts of Hyderabad have jurisdiction.
